You’ll use your account to update your address and order refills when you deploy.
After you deploy, you’ll get reminder emails from Express Scripts.
At your pre-deployment site, complete a Deployment Prescription Program Registration Form. Include your full name and Social Security number on the form.
Your pre-deployment site sends the form with your prescription to Express Scripts.
You’ll get the 180-day supply from your pre-deployment pharmacy. This is usually the pharmacy at your military hospital or clinic.
You’ll start your deployment with this 180-day supply.
Getting Prescriptions While Deployed
You can use the DPP if you didn’t register for it before you deployed or you get a new prescription in theater.
You don’t need to register first or order your initial prescription online. Here’s how it works:
Your deployed clinic or pharmacy sends your prescription to Express Scripts.
Express Scripts fills the prescription and sends it to you in theater. The average shipping time is three to four weeks.
You’ll get reminder emails from Express Scripts to order refills.
Two Months Into Your Deployment
Express Scripts sends you the first email message asking you to update your account with your deployed mailing address (APO/FPO address).
