Drug Limitations and Requirements
There are limitations and requirements for drugs filled through the Deployment Prescription Program.
| Schedule II controlled drugs |
Schedule II drug prescriptions may be e-prescribed or mailed to TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery. (Electronic prescribing is subject to federal and state/U.S. territory e-prescribing laws.) To mail your prescription, you must send a hard copy (paper) prescription with the provider’s handwritten signature and a valid personal DEA number. We don’t accept photocopied, scanned, faxed, or digital signatures. Send hard copy prescriptions to:
Express Scripts, Inc. You can only get a 90-day supply at a time with no refills. We may require a new prescription if we find errors. |

| Schedule III, IV, and V controlled drugs |
Your provider can fax prescriptions to Express Scripts, or you can mail your prescription to Express Scripts. To mail your prescription, you must send a hard copy (paper) prescription with the provider’s handwritten signature, and a valid personal DEA number. We don’t accept photocopies or digital signatures. Send hard copy prescriptions to:

| Psychotropic drugs |
You may get an initial 180-day supply at the pre-deployment site. Exception: You can only get a 90-day supply of Schedule II stimulants at the pre-deployment site. In theater, a 180-day supply (total) may be supplied. We don’t accept mail order prescriptions from pre-deployment sites. You must see a provider in theater for all follow-up care and prescription renewals. |
| Non-deployable drug types |
You must have proof of an approved CENTCOM waiver. These types of drugs won’t be shipped to APO/FPO/DPO addresses:

| Over-the-counter drugs |
Only certain OTC drugs can be filled through the DPP. Contact the Express Scripts DPP team to check if the drug you need can be filled.
