Moving	Sometimes. Relocation must be to a new country, city, region, or ZIP+4 code to be a QLE. You have 90 days from the date of your address change to change your health plan.

You can transfer your TRICARE Prime coverage with your sponsor or you may have other options depending where you move.

Moving Within the Same TRICARE Region

• If you move to another Prime Service Area, simply change your primary care manager.
• If you move to a remote area:
  • Your sponsor may be able to transfer to TRICARE Prime Remote.
  • You must live with your sponsor to also transfer to TRICARE Prime Remote.
  • Your sponsor can transfer your enrollment at the same time they transfer their enrollment.
• You can transfer your enrollment to the Uniformed Services Family Health Plan or the TRICARE Prime Demo, if you move to an area where one of these plans is offered.
• If you decide not to transfer your TRICARE Prime enrollment, you can disenroll from TRICARE Prime and enroll in TRICARE Select anywhere in the U.S.

Moving to Another TRICARE Region

• Your sponsor can begin the enrollment transfer process for the entire family as soon as they get orders to move.
• You can transfer your enrollment to the Uniformed Services Family Health Plan or the TRICARE Prime Demo, if you move to an area where one of these plans is offered.
• If you decide not to transfer your TRICARE Prime enrollment, you can disenroll from TRICARE Prime and enroll in TRICARE Select.
• Are you moving overseas? You must be command-sponsored to enroll in TRICARE Prime Overseas or TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas. You can enroll in TRICARE Select Overseas if you aren’t command-sponsored.
