Do I need to re-enroll in my TRICARE plan every year?

No. If you don't want to make a change, you don't have to do anything. Your current plan continues next year if you remain TRICARE-eligible. 

If you want to change plans, you may do so during the TRICARE Open Season or when you have a Qualifying Life Event (QLE). The TRICARE Open Season applies to the plans below. 

• TRICARE Prime
• TRICARE Prime Remote
• TRICARE Prime Overseas
• TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas
• TRICARE Select
• TRICARE Select Overseas
• US Family Health Plan

The TRICARE Open Season doesn't apply to the plans below. 

• TRICARE For Life
• TRICARE Reserve Select
• TRICARE Retired Reserve
• TRICARE Young Adult

Each year, Open Season runs from the Monday of the second full week in November through the Monday of the second full week in December. Changes you make during the TRICARE Open Season go into effect January 1 of the following year.
