Bulimia
Bulimia is a condition where people have recurrent episodes of eating unusually large amounts of food. They often feel a lack of control over their eating. After eating, a person may avoid weight gain by:
- Vomiting
- Using laxatives or diuretics
- Fasting
- Exercising excessively
Symptoms
- Inflamed and sore throat
- Swollen salivary glands in the neck and jaw
- Worn tooth enamel and increasingly sensitive and decaying teeth
- Digestive issues: Acid reflux disorder, intestinal distress and irritation
- Severe dehydration
- Electrolyte imbalance
