Overseas
When you move overseas, you'll transfer your enrollment to either TRICARE Prime Overseas or TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas depending on where you live. Family members can also enroll if they are command-sponsored. If not, they are covered by TRICARE Select Overseas.
Other Enrollment Transfer Options
If you prefer, you have other options to transfer your enrollment:
- Call International SOS when you arrive in your new duty location.
- Submit a TRICARE Prime Enrollment and PCM Change Form to International SOS or a TRICARE Service Center. The enrollment transfer is effective when International SOS receives the form.
- Enroll when you in-process at your new duty location.
You can continue to use the TRICARE Young Adult-Select Option overseas by transferring your coverage. If you move overseas with your sponsor and you are command-sponsored, you may be able to switch to the Prime Option in your new overseas location.
To Transfer Your Coverage
Submit a new TRICARE Young Adult Enrollment Application to International SOS. You can only transfer your coverage to a new region if you are current in your monthly premium payments. After you submit your application, your coverage will be transferred within 10 calendar days.
