Dental Care

Dental coverage is separate from TRICARE's medical coverage. Your dental coverage is based on who you are:

Who You Are	Your Dental Coverage
Active Duty Service Members	Covered by active duty dental benefits
Active Duty Family Members	Can purchase the TRICARE Dental Program
National Guard and Reserve Members	When ActivatedCalled or ordered to active duty service for more than 30 days in a row.: Covered by active duty dental benefits When Not Activated: Can enroll in the TRICARE Dental Program at any time
National Guard and Reserve Family Members	Can purchase the TRICARE Dental Program
Retired Service Members and Family Members	May be eligible for FEDVIP Dental
Survivors	Covered by either TRICARE Dental Program Survivor Benefit or FEDVIP Dental

Note: Adult children enrolled in TRICARE Young Adult don't qualify for dental benefits.
