Integumentary System Services
TRICARE covers services and supplies required in the diagnosis and treatment of illness or injury involving the integumentary system (skin, subcutaneous tissue and areolar tissue) to include:
- Topical treatment of skin ulcers caused by venous insufficiency
- Tropical treatment of diabetic foot ulcers
TRICARE doesn't cover:
- Removal of corns or calluses
- Trimming of toenails or other routine podiatry services (unless required for another covered medical condition)
- Services performed for cosmetic purposes
