Integumentary System Services

TRICARE covers services and supplies required in the diagnosis and treatment of illness or injury involving the integumentary system (skin, subcutaneous tissue and areolar tissue) to include:

  • Topical treatment of skin ulcers caused by venous insufficiency
  • Tropical treatment of diabetic foot ulcers

TRICARE doesn't cover:

  • Removal of corns or calluses
  • Trimming of toenails or other routine podiatry services (unless required for another covered medical condition)
  • Services performed for cosmetic purposes
