Cancer Screenings
TRICARE covers the following cancer screenings as part of the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention benefit:
- Breast cancer exams
- Cervical cancer exams
- Colorectal cancer exams
- Lung cancer screening
- Oral cavity and pharyngeal cancer exams
- Prostate cancer exams
- Skin cancer exams
- Testicular cancer exams
- Thyroid cancer exams
Important Information About Colorectal Cancer Screening Coverage
As of January 2026, there have been no changes to the colorectal cancer screenings that TRICARE covers. TRICARE doesn’t cover blood-based or stool-based RNA testing.
Before you use a colorectal cancer screening test, make sure TRICARE covers it. Do you have questions about covered tests? You can call your TRICARE contractor.
