Well-Woman Exams for Women Ages 65 and Older
Are you age 65 or older? If you use TRICARE For Life, you can still get women’s preventive screenings—things like breast exams, Pap tests, pelvic exams, and screenings for sexually transmitted infections. The difference is that Medicare is your primary coverage and TRICARE For Life pays second. This means you’ll need to follow Medicare’s rules first. See a complete list of Medicare’s covered preventive services.
When your Medicare benefits are exhausted, TRICARE becomes your primary payer. In this case, you’ll be responsible for the TRICARE cost-shares and deductible.
