Pap Test
Pap tests are:
- Also known as Pap smears
- Covered for female beneficiaries beginning at age 21
The frequency of screening Pap tests may be at the discretion you and your clinician. But screening Pap tests shouldn’t be performed less frequently than once every three years.
Note: Women under age 21 shouldn’t be screened, regardless of the age of sexual initiation or other risk factors.
