Changes to TRICARE on Jan. 1, 2025 |
New TRICARE contracts will start on Jan. 1, 2025. The changes will improve the delivery, quality, and cost of your health care services. This includes:
- Better access to telehealth appointments
- More efficient referral transfers between the two regions
- Greater access to highly specialized medical and surgical care (such as organ transplants)
- Improved choice, including virtual value network tools that will help you quickly identify providers with best outcomes
In addition, the following states are moving from the East Region to the West Region:
- Arkansas
- Illinois
- Louisiana
- Oklahoma
- Texas
- Wisconsin
In the East Region, Humana Military will remain the contractor. In the West Region, TriWest Healthcare Alliance will replace Health Net Federal Services.
