TRICARE's vision coverage varies depending on who you are. Check the table below to see what you are covered for and where to go.

If you're a(n)...  You qualify for:  What you need to do: 

Active Duty Service Member (includes activatedCalled or ordered to active duty service for more than 30 days in a row. Guard/Reserve Members) 

Standard issue pair of frames and sunglasses plus one pair of glasses of your choice. 

TRICARE Prime:
Go to the Optometry clinic at the military hospital or clinic where you're enrolled.

TRICARE Prime Remote:
Order your glasses from the Navy Ophthalmic Readiness Activity

Non-Activated Guard/Reserve Member 

You may be able to get coverage through FEDVIP.

 Check your eligibility for FEDVIP.

Retired Service Member 

You may be able to get coverage through FEDVIP.

Family Member (spouse, children, etc.) 

You may be able to get coverage through FEDVIP.
