If I cancel my TRICARE Young Adult coverage, can I buy it again?

Yes. You may ask the contractor to reinstate your TRICARE Young Adult coverage back to the last paid coverage date. Your request must meet certain requirements.

• The contractor must receive it no more than 90 days after the last paid-through date.
• You have to pay all premiums from the last paid-through date to the current month.
• You have to pay 2-months of premiums to set up recurring electronic payments.

Note: If you don’t meet the requirements, TRICARE denies your reinstatement request. You then have the option to buy coverage after your 12-month lockout.
