Does TRICARE cover emergency contraception?

 

Yes. You can get over the counter or prescription emergency contraceptives.

Over-the-counter:
You can get Plan B One Step, Take Action, My Way, AfterPill, and Aftera. Take the drug to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist to process it under your TRICARE pharmacy benefit. You don’t pay anything for these pills.

Prescription contraceptives:
You can get ella with a prescription from your doctor. You will pay a copaymentA fixed dollar amount you may pay for a covered health care service or drug. if you get it at a retail pharmacy. Visit the TRICARE Formulary Search tool to get cost information.

You can’t get emergency contraceptives via home delivery.
