How do I know which beneficiary group I’m in?
The group you’re in depends on your sponsor's enlistment or commission date. If your sponsor enlisted or was commissioned:
- Before January 1, 2018, you and your sponsor are in Group A
- On or after January 1, 2018, you and your sponsor are in Group B
Group A and Group B have different enrollment fees and out-of-pocket costs. View costs on the Copayments & Cost-Shares page.
Note: If you're enrolled in TRICARE Reserve Select, TRICARE Retired Reserve, TRICARE Young Adult, or the Continued Health Care Benefit Plan, you follow Group B enrollment fees and cost-shares.
