What is the Federal Benefits Open Season and when is it?
It’s your annual opportunity to enroll in, change, or cancel your Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) dental or vision plan. It runs from the Monday of the second full week in November through the Monday of the second full week in December. Changes you make during FEDVIP Open Season go into effect January 1 of the following year. You don’t need to act if you’re happy with your current FEDVIP plan. To learn more, visit BENEFEDS.gov.
Note: The FEDVIP Open Season isn’t the same as the TRICARE Open Season. The FEDVIP Open Season is for FEDVIP plans. The TRICARE Open Season is for TRICARE health plans.
