Who is eligible for TRICARE?

 

TRICARE is a worldwide health care program for:

• Uniformed Service members and their families
• National Guard and Reserve members and their families under federal orders more than 30 consecutive days or at the discretion of the state governor
• Survivors
• Certain former spouses
• Medal of Honor recipients and their families
• Others showing as eligible in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) 

The sponsor’s Uniformed Service decides who is eligible and reports it in DEERS.
