I need to replace my durable medical equipment (DME). Will TRICARE pay for the replacement?

Yes, as long as you own it and:

• It’s broken and can’t be repaired;
• It has accidental damage;
• There's a change in your condition; or
• The Food and Drug Administration says it doesn't meet safety standards.

You need a new order from your TRICARE authorized provider.

Note: You may need to send supporting documentation.

If you have TRICARE For Life coverage, you must follow Medicare’s rules for getting care. This doesn’t apply if you live overseas (not including U.S. Territories).
