When does my child's TRICARE coverage end?
At age 21.
Eligibility may end at age 23 if your child:
• Is a full-time student at an approved institution of higher learning;
• Isn’t married; and
• Depends on you (the sponsor) for more than half of his or her financial support.
The sponsor must submit proof of enrollment to his or her local ID card issuing facility. To learn more visit the How to Update Full-time Student Status page. Eligibility ends at age 23 or when your child is out of school, whichever comes first.

Note: In case of a divorce, a stepchild, not adopted by the sponsor, loses eligibility at 11:59:59 PM on the date of the divorce.
