Does TRICARE cover my child after age 18?

Yes, until age 21.

Eligibility may end at age 23 if your child:

• Is a full-time student at an approved institution of higher learning;
• Isn’t married; and 
• Depends on you (the sponsor) for more than half of his or her financial support.

The sponsor must submit proof of enrollment to his or her local ID card issuing facility. Eligibility ends at age 23 or when your child is out of school, whichever comes first.
