Get the most out of TRICARE West online by using secure, convenient self-service tools. If you have a DS Logon, you’ll use that to log in. If you can’t get a DS Logon, you can register for a unique username and password. Check out our “Beneficiary Web Tools” flyer in Web Resources to learn more.

Below are 10 helpful secure tools to help you manage your TRICARE benefits and access important health care information.

   1. TRICARE plan details

View your details of your TRICARE health plan, such as:

    2. Authorization status

View referral and pre-authorization details, and access determination letters. Health Net Federal Services, LLC (HNFS) doesn’t mail approval letters. (See “Secure Inbox.”)

    3. Claim status

View claim status and explanations of benefits (EOBs). Per TRICARE requirements, HNFS only mails individual EOBs on a case-by-case basis. (See “Secure Inbox.”)

    4. Manage my payment

Make enrollment fee payments for you and your family members. Change your enrollment fee payment method, such as through a checking or savings account deduction or a recurring credit card charge. View billing details, such as past and current payments and amounts due.

    5. “Ask Us” secure email

Submit claims-related inquiries to HNFS. HNFS sends response to your secure inbox and notifies you via email or text. 

    6. EOB summary

Access summary TRICARE EOBs. These include all claims within a specific date range. 

    7. Update Other health insuranceHealth insurance you have in addition to TRICARE, such as Medicare or an employer-sponsored health insurance. TRICARE supplements don’t qualify as "other health insurance."

Update your OHI information when it changes.

   8. Case or disease management nomination

Nominate yourself or a family member for one of HNFS’ case or disease management programs. Visit Wellness Center to learn more.

   9. Preventive services history

View your preventive care history to find out when your next service is due or when you’re eligible for services. 

   10. Secure inbox

Access referral and pre-authorization letters, EOBs, responses to “Ask Us” questions, appeals or grievanceYou can file a grievance when:
- You have a complaint about the quality of care you received,
- A provider or facility behaved inappropriately, or
- You have any other non-appealable issue.
The grievance may be against any member of your health care team. This includes your TRICARE doctor, your contractor, or a subcontractor.
