Regional Contractors
The regional contractors provide health care services and support beyond what’s available at military hospitals and clinics for all health plan options except TRICARE For Life (in the U.S. and U.S. territories), the US Family Health Plan, and the TRICARE Prime Demo.
In each region, they manage:
- Provider networks
- Toll-free customer service call centers
- Enrollment, referrals, authorization, and claims processing
- Beneficiary and provider education
Other Contractors
The regional contractors don’t provide assistance for pharmacy, dental, TRICARE For Life (in the U.S. and U.S. territories), the US Family Health Plan, or the TRICARE Prime Demo.
