Manometry Clinic

The Gastroenterology Service has the first dedicated gastrointestinal motility lab the Military Health Care System. Our providers address disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other esophageal and anal motility-related diseases. We utilize high resolution manometry, cutting edge diagnosis and treatment through the use of highly specialized equipment that is capable of measuring esophageal acid exposure and pharyngeal reflux with 24-hour pH and impedance monitors or 48 hour Bravo-pH capsule studies in an ambulatory setting. The department is also engaged in a major research effort in the diagnosis and treatment of motility disorders and GERD.
