How do I check my referral status?FAQ image

You can see all the details of your existing referrals online by logging in to the beneficiary self-service portal. You’ll need to create an account to use the secure patient portal if you don’t have one. Go to Authorizations and Referrals to learn more about checking your referral status, accessing your referral letters, and more.

Does TRICARE have dental coverage?

Yes, but it isn’t a part of your medical coverage. TRICARE medical and dental plans are separate. Your dental plan depends on your status. If you’re on active duty, you’re covered by active duty dental benefits. Family members of active duty service members and National Guard and Reserve members, as well as National Guard and Reserve members not on active duty, can purchase dental coverage through the TRICARE Dental Program. The Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program provides options.

What mental health care and resources does TRICARE offer?

TRICARE covers several mental health services. How you get care may depend on your beneficiary category and your TRICARE health plan. You may also need to check with your regional contractor to see if you need a referral and/or pre-authorization. Go to Getting Mental Health Care to learn how you can get care and Covered Treatments to learn what outpatient and inpatient services TRICARE covers. You can also review Programs and Resources for additional help that may be available to you.

Is your prescription drug covered? You can find out by looking it up on the TRICARE Formulary Search Tool. This search tool will tell you if your prescription drug is covered by TRICARE, if you need a request form from your provider, where you can fill your prescription, and how much you may have to pay out of pocket.
TRICARE covers a full range of health services related to pregnancy and reproductive health care. Go to Reproductive Health to explore the services TRICARE covers. You can also see if your local military hospital or clinic is offering walk-in contraceptive services that you may be eligible for.
