Advice Line: Call the Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-TRICARE, Option 1 to talk to a nurse who can answer health-related questions, help you find a doctor and schedule appointments.
After Hours Care: In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately.
• As of Jan. 1, 2018, if you are enrolled in TRICARE Prime, you no longer need
a referral for urgent care visits and point of service charges no longer apply
for urgent care claims when you use a network urgent care clinic. This change
replaces the previous policy which waived referrals for the first two urgent
care visits per year. Those enrolled in TRICARE Prime can utilize Womack Urgent Care Clinic, located near the All American Entrance. Operating hours 0700-1900 Monday through Friday.
• ADSMs (except Active Duty Prime Remote) should continue to visit military
hospitals and clinics for urgent care. They MUST obtain a referral from their
PCM to receive urgent care or charges will apply.
• If you use TRICARE Select or any other TRICARE plan, you may visit any
TRICARE-authorized provider, network or non-network, for urgent care.
