TMA Announcement:
Important Information for Beneficiaries Affected by Floods

Consistent with TRICARE's previous practices in the face of natural disasters, Express Scripts, Inc. (ESI), the TRICARE pharmacy contractor, has been authorized to add provisions for early refill of medications for TRICARE beneficiaries and families impacted by flooding.

Beneficiaries in Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri have been added to the previously approved states of Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa and Indiana. It should be noted that early refills are only authorized for beneficiaries who specifically indicate they are impacted by flooding.

Beneficiaries may take their prescription bottle to any TRICARE retail network pharmacy. Contact Express Scripts at 1-866-363-8779 to find a nearby pharmacy. Beneficiaries displaced without their prescription bottle should visit the pharmacy where the prescription was received if possible, or contact Express Scripts.

TRICARE wants to assure beneficiaries and families affected by this natural disaster that their health care benefits will be maintained, and that service and support will continue during this critical time.

West Region Resources
For beneficiaries living in West region states, TriWest Healthcare Alliance recently launched a "Crisis Connection" Web page where you'll find general updates and flood-related resources.

North Region Resources
For beneficiaries in the North Region, disaster information can be found on the Health Net Federal Services Disaster Resources page.
