TRICARE is available worldwide and is managed in four separate regions: North, South, West and Overseas.
TRICARE Regional Contractors
TRICARE has partnered with regional contractors in each region to provide you with health care services and support beyond what's available at military hospitals and clinics to include:
- Establish provider networks
- Operate TRICARE Service Centers
- Provide customer service call centers
- Provide administrative support, such as enrollment, care authorization and claims processing
- Distribute educational information to beneficiaries and providers

Other Contractors
The regional contractors do not typically provide assistance for pharmacy, the three TRICARE dental plans, the US Family Health Plan or TRICARE For Life (in the U.S. and U.S. Territories). These services are provided by other contractors.
