A provider is any doctor or team of doctors, nurse-practitioner or physician's assistant; a laboratory; an ambulance company; or a supplier of medical equipment. The type of provider you'll see depends on which health plan option you are using.

1.  To find a military treatment facility (MTF):

• Search the MTF locator

2.  To find a network provider, visit your regional contractor's network provider directory:

• North Region
• South Region
• West Region

3.  To find a TRICARE-authorized provider, visit the:

• Yellow Pages
• AMA DoctorFinder
• Verify with your regional contractor to make sure the provider is TRICARE-authorized

4.  To find a Medicare provider:

• Search the Medicare Provider Directory
• Call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227)

5.  To find an overseas provider:

Depending on which overseas area you live in, you will have different ways to find an overseas provider. At any time, you can contact an overseas military treatment facility, a TRICARE Service Center or your TRICARE Area Office for assistance finding a provider.

• Find a TRICARE Global Remote Overseas provider:
  • TRICARE Eurasia-Africa
  • TRICARE Latin America
  • TRICARE Pacific
• In the Philippines, you must select a provider from the Philippines Certified Provider List.
• In the TRICARE Eurasia-Africa Area, select a provider from the TRICARE Eurasia-Africa Preferred Provider Directory
• If enrolled in TRICARE Prime in Puerto Rico, select a Puerto Rico Network Provider
