Enrollment in any TRICARE Prime Option is continuous. You do not have to re-enroll every year to continue coverage, but certain events will cause you to be disenrolled.
Active duty service members cannot voluntarily disenroll. All others can choose to disenroll at anytime, but may be subject to a one-year lock out from re-enrolling.
To disenroll from TRICARE Prime, TRICARE Prime Remote, TRICARE Prime Overseas, TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas, download the TRICARE Prime Disenrollment Request (DD Form 2877) for your region.
