When You're on Military Duty for 30 Days or Less

  • You may qualify for line of duty care
  • You may qualify to purchase TRICARE Reserve Select. With TRICARE Reserve Select, you and your family qualify for one routine eye exam per year

When Activated

When Deactivated

  • If you qualify for extended coverage for 180 days under the Transitional Assistance Management Program, you may be eligible for a routine eye exam
  • You may qualify to purchase TRICARE Reserve Select. With TRICARE Reserve Select, you and your family can get one routine eye exam per year

When Retired

When you retire, you and your family may be eligible for eye exams.

  • Eye exams aren't covered under TRICARE Retired Reserve
  • When you reach age 60, you have the same coverage as retired service members
